The readyBCP Process

We have developed and implemented a common sense approach to Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations Planning. One of the keys is to focus upon identifying the processes and resources critical to business operations - those that will shut down a business. With this key information, we can determine the appropriate strategies to address people, information and technology and then develop a plan to mitigate risks. The process culminates in pulling all of the information gathered and analyzed in the previous steps into a cohesive plan for response and recovery from an unplanned outage. The resulting BCP contains the guidelines necessary to resume and sustain critical operations if an unplanned outage does occur.
